How to diagnose a dislocated atlas? IS YOUR ATLAS IN OR OUT?
| To make a diagnosis of the HEAD JOINT, ie. position of the atlas in relation to the occipital bone (skull), is an absolutely precise measure showing whether the atlas is dislocaed or not. A dislocated atlas means that the convex occipital condyles are not correctly embedded within the superior concave articular facets of the atlas.
THE AtlasPROfilax® DIAGNOSIS is always result of several aspects and consists of:
1/ Anamnesis - Informative conversation
2/ CLINICAL TEST (using the reaction of muscular chains) IS CRUCIAL and provided only by our certified Practitioners - Atlasprof®s
3/ PALPATION of the atlas (processi transversi) - clinical experience is crucial (AtlasPROfilax® Practitioners)
4/ Imaging techniques:
2D - a simple X-ray is not enough to make a diagnosis ! There can be seen only indirect signs.
3D - in scientific research, auxiliary in clinical practice (not necessary to make the diagnosis) | |
PROPER DIAGNOSIS IS CRUCIAL FOR CORRECT INTERVENTION ON YOUR ATLAS VERTEBRA!
